Press Release
DETROIT, (January 21, 2019) --City of Detroit-based Inventev is expanding its advisory services by connecting with later career professionals in transition that possess subject matter or industrial functional expertise.
As a key Detroit-area source of experts, the automotive industry restructurings and remix of skills are putting thousands of professionals into transition.
Dave Stenson, former executive at General Motors and now Inventev's founder and CEO, said ”many industry experts are currently ‘retiring’ from their long-term employers but not yet ready to stop working. I’ve heard many times ‘I just want to do something for another 2 or 3 years, then (maybe) fully retire.’ These are highly experienced people with expertise of value to many potential clients. We want to help them transition to this work by taking some of the uncertainty out of the process.” Most of those interested would already have potential client relationships or will use their networks to develop them.
Along with their core truck electrification technology, Inventev offers its wealth of experience in the form of general industry advisory services. Some of the categories covered in their practice are program management, partnership integrations, supply chain development/quality, vehicle and subsystem product development, manufacturing strategy and communications. Inventev most recently displayed for its third year in the Automobili-D section of the 2019 North American International Auto Show.
